Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is considered the international standard par excellence for defining, modeling, and sharing business processes under the Business Process Management discipline.

It allows representing visually complex details of processes by implementing a standard notation in simple language, thus bridging the gap between process modeling and execution.

This notation uses easy-to-understand graphic elements to show the business process logic, representing each action with a symbol that can be easily understood by both technical and business users, thus contributing to the standardization and understanding of the processes within the organization.

If both technical and management employees use the same symbols to represent processes in diagrams that facilitate viewing the logic in detail, the processes become easy to interpret, correct, and standardize. This benefits the organization by enabling clear communication at all levels, thus optimizing efforts and consequently increasing profitability.
